BERNHARD LEITNER
THE MAD SCIENTIST
The prodigal son of Horst Leitner, motocross legend, founder of ATK Motorcycles and AMP Research, Bernhard founded Leitner Designs in 2007 as a custom engineering and design house. In 2014 he invented and fabricated the first Active Cargo System out of a need for carrying all of his off-road & motocross gear while maintaining the full use of his truck bed. Since 2014 Leitner Designs has sold thousands of Active Cargo Systems and it’s proprietary accessories to outdoor enthusiasts across the globe. MICHELLE McDONALD
THE TEAM MOM
Michelle has been with Leitner Designs since day one and is currently the CFO and acting Controller of the company, supervising nearly all day-to-day operations & logistics. Her knowledge of the industry has been paramount to the growth of Leitner Designs, and more times than not will pick up the phone when you call. When she’s not wrangling all the details of the operation, she can be found riding her horse or 4 wheeling in her 2020 Jeep Gladiator. She is affectionately known as our “Team Mom” at the plant, and consistently over-delivers on all her parental duties.
KEITH MUNEMITSU
THE SOCIALIZER
With more than two decades of sales and marketing experience in the Action Sports Industry Keith has been charged with shaping the new consumer facing image and brand messaging for Leitner Designs. At Leitner Designs he has been involved with everything from product photography, videography, to key branding functions of the company. When he’s not behind the lens or computer Keith can be found fly fishing, surfing, or his new found passion of archery hunting. Keith is the point of contact for all marketing & sponsorship requests or concerns.
JOE CARDENAS
THE HUSTLER
The Chicago born Southern California resident, Joe has over two decades of sales experience in the fresh produce and fruit industry. Earlier in 2019 he started at Leitner Designs in the warehouse to learn all aspects of the business from the ground up. Quickly progressing through the ranks, Joe is now been tasked as the Head of Sales for Leitner Designs, overseeing all aspects of the B2B and B2C sales channels. A hardcore and passionate member of the off-road community, Joe knows many of the industry professionals on both the manufacturing as well as retail side of the business, and we are confident that sales growth is eminent with Joe behind the wheel. Joe is our point person for all questions regarding the sales of all Leitner Designs products that you may have.
MADDIE PERRY
THE DELEGATOR
Maddie is our resident warehouse guru managing all in and outbound freight, raw materials and finished goods inventory. Her peppy personality keeps the high stress work environment in check and running smoothly. Outside of work Maddie also moonlights as a wedding planner further leveraging her gifts of organization and execution. The Corona, CA native loves the warm summer sun and travels to the Bahamas at least once a year. In her free time Maddie can be often found in the great outdoors with her white lab "Captain". The next time you receive an order from Leitner Designs you can be pretty sure it was Maddie who sent it your way with a smile.
JAMES GARCIA
THE ALCHEMIST
James has been with Leitner Designs since the beginning of 2019 and has been an awesome addition to the team. Although he has only been welding for three years he’s a seasoned craftsman and is instrumental in the construction of the Active Cargo System. When not in the welding shop James can be found playing his guitar or working on one of this many classic cars and motorcycles. James is a true example of an American craftsman and helps us keep the “Made in the USA” tradition alive.
CHRISTIAN LUCAS
THE SIXTH MAN
Christian has been with Leitner Designs since the beginning of 2019 and is a true petrol head favoring anything with a motor. He is the true definition of the all-around player tackling many jobs in the warehouse from prepping raw materials, assembling accessories, packing product, and just about anything the day holds. His gentle demeanor makes him super easy to work with, and loves the fact that Leitner Designs is dog friendly workplace. When not at work Christian can be found working on his 1955 Chevy two door wagon and spending quality time with family, friends and his many pets.
